Our comprehensive training facility, features multiple ranges out to 100 yards. Our facility offers multiple distinct training areas all within a single location. Our range complex is situated in the East Texas piney woods, near Livingston. The range is just over an hour north of George Bush Airport in Houston, and offers participants a discreet and enriching environment for training activities.

The range’s compact and adaptable layout also supports the development of diverse training scenarios, enabling a level of flexibility not commonly found at larger or less specialized facilities. Training is limited only by the imagination of the instructor staff and the requirements of the client, allowing for innovative approaches to tactical education.

Range Facility Features
The Preston Tactical Range Facility offers a diverse array of training bays and amenities designed to accommodate a wide variety of tactical training needs. Each section of the facility is equipped to support both individual and group instruction, ensuring participants can practice with the tools and environments most relevant to their objectives.
Pistol, Rifle, and Shotgun Bays
We have dedicated bays in the range for pistol, rifle, and shotgun training, featuring both paper and steel targets. These areas provide versatile options for a variety of firearms and tactical training exercises.
Main Training Bay
Our main bay measures 100 yards and includes a covered area at the 100-yard mark. The area has been outfitted with steel targets, a plate rack, and a moving target system to enhance dynamic training scenarios. Additional equipment includes shooting benches, barricades, tires for throw drills, a pull-up bar, and sandbags to support physical conditioning and varied shooting positions.
Competition Bays
The facility features two competition bays, each measuring 25 by 50 yards. Both bays are equipped with multiple target stands, steel targets, and a plate rack, enabling competitive shooting drills and scenario-based exercises.
Pistol Bay
A dedicated 40 yard pistol bay featuring target backers, steel targets, and barricades for specialized pistol instruction and tactical movement drills.
Rifle Deck
Designed for long-range shooting and tactical rifle training, our rifle deck measures out to 400 yards. We have a main training range to 100 yards with a covered area at the 100-yard mark. These decks are equipped with steel targets, barricades, and benches to facilitate a variety of rifle shooting exercises and positional training.
SIMS Shoot House
One bay, out to 100 yards, includes a 13-room SIMS shoot house. This section is equipped with steel targets and target stands, as well as a breaching door, breaching window, providing a realistic environment for simulation-based tactical training.
Training Flexibility
There are no time restrictions during training sessions at the facility, allowing instructors and participants to maximize the training experience and adapt sessions to their needs.
Additional Amenities
Our facility also offers a firepit, BBQ pit, outdoor shower, and restroom facilities, ensuring comfort and convenience for all participants during their time at the range.
Classrooms and Restrooms
We have one classroom equipped with whiteboards, a flat-screen TV, power from an off-grid battery bank or generator, WIFI, and can accommodate 35 students. Our shower facilities are clean and safe, with convenient male and female restrooms. Supplies like pens, pencils, and notebooks are also provided.
Lodging and Restaurant Options
Several hotels, restaurants, and stores are located within 15-20 minutes of our range facility, providing convenient options for shopping and dining. This helps our attendees avoid long commutes for their training sessions.

Our members are free to use our ranges to train, develop, and grow. That freedom requires trust, discipline, and responsibility to respect the range, follow the rules, and leave things better than when found initially. This environment allows all members to maximize their training experiences.
New Members
We want our members to contribute to the growth of the range by bringing like-minded, competent shooters who are on the same journey of self-improvement. We welcome new shooters and beginner shooters, but they must be supervised by another member, an instructor, or a range safety officer to ensure safety during training.
